If the Bra Fits Wear It

Natalie G

How can Natalie drive the ball with her ample décolletage, maybe she’s wearing the proper support?

I find the biggest challenge isn’t teeing up but getting the hell out of my lingerie drawer while my friends are waiting for me to get out the door, what bra should I be wearing? I know it sounds silly and all, considering that I have dressed many actress’s over the years, so I decided to call upon an industry specialist I have worked with on many films. With 25 years of fitting experience, Vasilia owner of Avec Plaisir spent some time enlightening me on the latest technology on bras specifically designed for golf! Most of the bras come from Europe, these companies have produced fine women’s undergarments for a very long time.

I really like the Energy bra from Marie Jo they have a great range of bras that have been perfected for 3 ranges of sport, one of them being golf. The Energy bra has a soft under-wire for support, breathable fabric to keep the girls cool, comes in an very large size range from B to a F and 2 colour choices, peach & black. Checkout the companies website, it’s really great and well designed.

Another option is the Gemma Tess bra, it has a padded shoulder strap, seamless cup and has a pretty fine netting over the cup. It has a great size range also from regular sizes to full figure.

The key to remember is comfort, fit and breath-ability. Forget Victoria’s Secret, if you have the opportunity go for a proper bra fitting, trust me you will never look back! You only look down and think wow, they are looking superfine.

If you are in Toronto check out Avec Plaisir  they have some fabulous lingerie and swimwear.

Blackberry & Balls

Blackberry

It’s hard not to notice the many forms of communication available to each of us. I love techie things and use them daily, but as I played the other day with 2 guys I noticed that one person continually checked their Crackberry Blackberry. Granted I was shown a download-able version of range finder software for the crackberry ( which I thought was really cool ).

Question Du Jour: Is having a ‘meeting on the golf course’ really a good idea? What if your boss needs you to refer to page 11 of the addendum to cost projections for the 2ND quarter? Working remotely may turn into a larger problem. I understand having quick dialogue between holes on the BB via texting, but participating in a phone meeting is inconsiderate.

On a film set, everyone turns their phones & BB’s to silent and return messages off set. The main reason: If your phone goes off during a take, #1 you will feel like a total knob, #2 you may even get fired or better yet, get yelled at by someone quite famous. Not appealing, I hope more golfers treat the green like a film set, no connecting to the outside world, connect to your game.

Ahhh Golf

OR

Ahhh Spring

We finally have the weather I love here in Toronto. I have 2 choices today, to hold a golf club in my hand or my best pair of pruning shears. For many of you I know that the golf club would be the hands down choice, I’m struggling as I know my rose bush’s need pruning and I enjoy gardening in this perfect spring weather. There is always next weekend to get on the green and my rose’s will thank me by mid June.

Where shall I play next weekend? Not a course too challenging for the first time out this season. Hmm maybe Taboo? Sure.

Have a fabulous day playing golf! Think of me while your teeing off.

Well, Hello There!

Who ever said that posing for the camera was easy never stood in front of that long lens and flash bulb. Concentrating on how your neck looks, what to do with your hands, suck in your belly, relax those lips, stare through the lens, give some awe inspiring look and still look natural is a very difficult thing to do. I have always appreciated the work actor’s, actresses & models do. It really takes a lot of work.

As I have mentioned before, I have years of experience behind the camera, even our novice photo shoot took several hours of setup between camera, hair and makeup. Thank god I’m currently working with a fabulous Costume Designer. Her name is Kaisa Walicka Maimone, she directed me to a beautiful gown that I borrowed for the weekend. It wasn’t something I would have ever chosen but I loved it and it conveyed the timeless image I was looking for.

There are two other people to thank. As you know the makeup artist is essential to any place where there is a camera. Super shout out to my ubber talented sister Janine Child who worked for MAC cosmetics for many years and has her own makeup art company in the Niagara region of Ontario. Last, but never least, the image maker - the photographer Raymond Lorenz. (I’m actually married to him). Thanks honey for doing a great job - although I know it’s hard to really direct me at times, hey maybe that’s why we haven’t golfed together for a while.
